Óscar Marín is Professor of Neuroscience and heads the Medical Research Council (MRC) Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders and the Centre for Developmental Neurobiology at King’s College London. His research aims at an understanding of the development of the cerebral cortex and the biological bases of neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and schizophrenia. A member of various editorial boards, he currently sits on the Board of Reviewing Editors of Science, and was a founding member of the Scientific Council of the European Research Council. His distinctions include the 2019 Remedios Caro Almela Prize in Developmental Neurobiology, the Ramón y Cajal Medal of the Spanish Royal Academy of Sciences, the Roger de Spoelberch Prize, and the Royal Society’s Wolfson Research Merit Award.
